Google Search Engine is ruling the world

searchengine_graph According to the latest statistics and survey held by Hitwise, Google, an Internet giant, is ruling the Global Search Market . With its 69.17% share in all U.S search, the company has surpass the previous estimated target with notable measurements, while share of other Search Engines such as Yahoo!, MSN and Ask.com are 19.62, 5.46 and 14.12 percent. Apart from these Search Engines, 42 other companies were able to capture only 1.70 % of U.S Search market share. The estimation conduct by Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool is based on four weeks ending.

The computed statistics for the U.K Search market share is more than the US market. Google Search share for June 2007 is 87% and if we compare it with the last year’s statistics (June 2007), than distinct 10% increase will be noticed. On the other hand,  if we compare the percentage share of April 2008 with June 2008 of Yahoo!, MSN and Ask Search properties than an increase of 2%,2% and 6% will be noted respectively.

While Google Search properties for Australian market has been the highest till now. Google Search share has been accounted as 88% in AU. The tremendous increase of 12% (from June2007 to June2008) has been noticed.

The abrupt increase in the Search Engine usage has also played a vital role in increasing user traffic in number of US industries as sizable traffic portion is coming from Search Engines in various categories such as the Travel, News and Media, Entertainment, Business and Finance, Sports, Online Video and Social Networking categories.
