appleapplications1 Google readies iPhone Ad Options Google has caught its eye on the ever-appealing product of the current generation and is preparing new options for advertisers to target iPhone owners directly. Google has been meeting with agencies, presenting a new option to show different ads in response to searches made from iPhones.

The change is expected to be implemented soon, enabling the advertisers to create an iPhone ad group, as part of their regular search campaign. iPhone pulls up sites directly from the Internet, apart from the usual convention of phones browsing the mobile Web. Which brings us to the conclusion that the ads users see are the same as those viewed from a computer, that is unless a publisher creates an iPhone-specific site.

The new option would bridge the gap between re-purposing Internet ads for a mobile experience and creating a parallel structure for it. Just to give a clearer explanation: American Airlines could use the new Google option to highlight the airline’s iPhone-optimized site for booking flights.

The campaign would be the first from Google as it allows advertisers to craft specific messages for mobile searchers from their search campaigns. Google is already offering advertisers the option of running mobile-specific campaigns that target users of WAP phones.
