Google offers e-Mail Archiving for up to 10 years

Saad Ali Abbasi

Google

Google is offering to host email archiving for up to 10 years for a nominal fee of $45 per user per year. This offer is aimed especially at organizations burdened by federal rules requiring electronic message retention. The working of the service is as such that it will work on the company’s existing email infrastructure, having no storage limit.

This compared to the the $200 (approx.) per user per year deal that can cost a company to archive email on-site over 7 years, I guess one can differentiate which is better? This was stated on the Official Google Enterprise blog by Bill Kee.

This offer is part of Google Message Discovery, includes spam and virus filtering. Companies can choose to pay $25 on per user per year basis to archive emails for a year or less. Also attached with this offer is the option of paying $10 per user for each additional year. Sounds like a good one.
