Is it some major update season? Almost every site has speeded up releasing new features or updating existing and Google is no exception. It has been making Gmail ever useful by taking it offline with Gears to Sender Time Zone. Today it enabled users to put their location via Google Latitude to their Gmail chats and blogs. The Google Talk location status automatically changes your status with respect to your location at Latitude; meaning what ever city you are in, your contacts will know about it without you needing to do so. Plus with the Public Location Badge, you can publish your location on your website/blog using your mobile phone. With this you have the choice to reveal your exact location using GPS, WiFi, etc or simply share the city name. This is pretty helpful as one can now go beyond Gmail contacts and let more people know about your whereabouts.
