Google might have no issues when it comes to acquiring a business, or getting involved in a partnership, but what it can’t take is people peeping into the science of how they run their business. Google’s deal with Yahoo might get a green signal if only Google permits inspectors to get in and keep an eye at their business. This signals trouble heading Yahoo’s way, as it’s obvious that a failed deal would only hammer Yahoo.
Nobody can much as to what exactly happens. Perhaps this shout from Google is primarily to put some pressure on the Department of Justice to make haste or pull this latest controversy off. One thing is for sure that Yahoo must be ready to dial in Microsoft anytime soon.
What I think here is that Yahoo will eventually sell off its search business to Microsoft, something that Jerry Yang is so against. Anyways, we will have to patient as we have been so far and wait for things to take some shape, sooner.
