The Online Video Giant YouTube, has purchased Omnisio, a small California based Video Startup. The Y Combinator company, Omnisio was launched in March this year and have had gained popularity ever since its release. Though there is not any officially hearing about the final acquisition deal but VentureBeat reported that it is expected to be around $15million. YouTube in its official blog mentioned that the acquisition will help it to grow its Userbase by enhancing their social video networking and interaction.
Omnisio is an highly integrated online video mashup that allow users to crop or merge their videos using different lengths. Users have to submit video URLs from YouTube, Google Video and Blip. tv and it automatically loads their video. It also provides a degree of flexibility to its users as they can synchronize slide share presentations to videos and can even annotate their videos. Thus, the service was an exemplary video sharing service through which users can make quality videos by their own compilation. And this seems to be the major reason of its acquisition by an Internet Giant, Google.
YouTube always work hard and give chance to its community to raise their voice in an innovative and interesting way. Its recently added Video Annotations feature, is yet another example of its steady sharp progress. YouTube has praised Omnisio’s tremendous technical expertise and have considered its team members as an enhanced and outstanding talent.
The Omnisio team has tremendous technical expertise when it comes to advanced video tools and having this kind of talent at YouTube should help us further explore ways to enhance your YouTube experience.
While Ryan June, Co-founder and Chief executive of Omnisio, seems equally thrilled and excited by this deal and compliment its users for their enthusiastic adoption of its tools that has surpass their expectations.
We are thrilled to announce that we’ve been acquired by Google and will soon be joining the YouTube team, aligning us with the market leaders in online video. Together we’ll apply what we’ve learned about the space, and we’ll work to develop innovative products and features for the YouTube community. We believe we’ve only scratched the surface in terms of what’s possible with online video, and we are really looking forward to taking the video viewing — and creating — experience to the next level.
Chris Sacca, Omnisio’s angel investor and an ex-Google employee has praised Ryan, Julian and Simon for their true dedicated work and considered them as the most legitimate entrepreneurs of the era. He marvelled their entrepreneurship and timeless efforts and wished them all the best luck in future.
Ryan Junee, Julian Frumar, and Simon Ratner are some of the most legitimate entrepreneurs I have ever met. I marveled at their ability to hack up surprisingly robust technology while creating intuitive and simply easy user experiences. Too often, teams excel in one area but lack any talent in the other, either the software is technically superb, or the UI just flows so naturally. Rarely can a company pull off both. From day one, the Omnisio guys demonstrated true coding chops plus an admirable understanding of, and dedication to, creating a service that users understand, enjoy, and are eager to share with others.
Omnisio in its short span of time had gained a lot of popularity that is hardly achieved by most of the startups. With so many words for the company, we can easily judge their prolonged and effective working strategy. I personally think that It could have made its name by rejecting Google’s acquisition offer and they could have used their skills and efforts to challenge a tough competition to YouTube.

i thought Youtube has reached to its max expansion limit, now what this new cooking with Youtube and Omnisio
