googlemapslogo1 Google Maps trials new feature ‘Walking Directions’ Google Maps have now put a new feature on trial which is by the name of ‘Walking Directions’. The feature helps you in getting driving directions from one place to another. As the feature is on test basis, it provides driving directions for a very limited number of places. Google Maps contain transit directions which are useful if you travel in a car or bus otherwise its not that helpful.

According to Google, use caution when walking in unfamiliar areas as the walking directions are in beta. Its likely that Google will select a limited number of users randomly in order to check out the new feature and get feedbacks.

Currently, locations from following countries are available in the feature:

  • United States

  • Canada

  • Japan

  • Australia

  • Austria

  • France

  • Italy

  • Poland

  • Russia

  • Switzerland

  • United Kingdom

The feature seems to be very helpful as it provides a lot of useful information like it would tell you the estimated driving time from one place to another, number of kilometres, snaps of streets that gives you a more real image of places and some more.
