Google Labs has recently launched its new project In Quotes that lets users view and compare quotes from various political leaders. The service works by extracting keywords from the recently delivered speeches and interviews. In Quotes are by default set to show the quotes of US Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain while you can choose different candidates from the available drop down menu list to view their opinions.
Various excerpts are already available such as education, texes, Iran and oil but users can also search for their own keywords. You can ‘spin’ to compare two randomly selected quotes or manually click to view the next quote. Apart from the US Presidential body, the product also supports UK, Canadian and Indian versions. The quotes are fetched from The Google News and does not support any discriminative views. The tool could be used to understand the views of different people in the news and to glance the discussions from various political bodies.
