VentureBeat is reporting that Google is in talks with DirecTV, the largest satellite broadcast service in U.S. with 16 million subscribers, to serve ads on the DirecTV network. Google last week started testing TV ads in partnership with Dish Networks, the second largest satellite network in U.S. This is yet another step towards becoming a global advertisement system with forays into newspapers, magazines, radio, cable and now satellite. The deal is taking longer than Dish to close because of Management changes at DirecTV, but will go forward eventually making Google the prime advertiser on Satellite Networks.
