Some really crazy anti-Google people might have laughed off at Chrome’s snailed growth but those who know the purpose Chrome has been built for, consider it a potential threat to their position. With time Chrome is going to roll out everything that highlights its purpose but for the time being it has announced a support for GreaseMonkey.
It is a bit confusing that Google is still way too watchful with lending out supports to extension systems with its prized browser. This sort of limits the users freedom to fully utilize Chrome. This requires the user to add the enable-greasemonkey by adding it to the the shortcut of the program.
As Martin explains in his blog, the script is set to work on every domain that are handled by the @include metadata with the metadata part being dumped. This can reportedly become a cause of problems for the users. One thing is for sure that the users will have to wait until Google comes out with more extensions for the Chrome. In the meantime those of you who want to get hands on experience to the extension can find it at BuildBot.
I for one would refrain from doing so. The reason being obvious that it wont guarantee stability.
