Google is set to acquire video compression site On2 Technology. The stock deal will have a value at $106.5 Million. On2 Technology provides video compression solutions for numerous services which include VoIP, Web2.0 and Adobe Flash Player and its clients include Nokia, Skype, Brightcove and Adobe. On2 will continue developing products until the transition is completed. Is Google trying to have a service to help YouTube videos (make them more compressed and lightweight).
