Google Finance now allows you to plot your favorite blogs onto its charts

Google Finance Google Finance already offered users the flexibility to plot news stories on the company charts to get an understanding why the stock sky rocketed or plummeted at a specific instance. This feature is now been further pushed by adding the ability to add blog posts to the charts.

The new design of Google Finance has moved the Blogs section a tab next to the news section. When you click on the Blogs tab, posts from different blogs relevant to the company you are viewing gets listed in the tab.

In addition to this a Feeds tab has been added as well which allows you to do the following:

  • Search for relevant feeds by typing keywords in the query box. Relevant results gets listed and can be plotted onto the charts.
  • Use addresses from blogs you know, or blogs on which you have written or the ones that are related to the financial sector.
  • Use data from Google Spreadsheets. The notes that you keep in Google Spreadsheets can now be published and plotted on Google Finance Charts.

In addition to this you can also create a spreadsheet of financial data and create it with fellow Google Finance users by clicking on the newly added “Link to Chart” and the link will be added and sent to your friends.
