As if Google wasn’t any simpler already that it had to go on with a minimalist version for its Search page. All this experiment gives to users is a very basic layout of the page with the logo, the search bar and the two very 1990-ish buttons. But why this? I mean once you hover the mouse across those buttons reappear, making it more of an illusion of a very clean page. You can simply go to Google.com and in the address bar copy paste the following code and hit enter:
javascript:void(document.cookie="PREF=ID=abac7a90f5a3784b:LD=en:NR=10:TM=1254990196:LM=1254990236:S=uB6F4jDnMP_DuxtT;path=/; domain=.google.com");
Now every time you load the page, all that you will see is plain Google page and nothing else. You can of course revert to the older version by going to options and removing the cookie for Google.com [PREF].
