NewTeeVee reports of the latest geographic search feature that enables you to geo-tag videos uploaded by users of YouTube; enabling them to find their videos that have been tagged to a certain location as Brian Glick mentioned in a developers on Thursday held at YouTube’s San Bruno, Calif. Campus.
The geo-tag for videos can be added when they are being uploaded and had been available for a little over a year but had not been offered on how to utilize the information. There was a similar option offered by Google Earth for a specific set of videos.
The feature had been demoed by Glick by showing the videos of Bellagio’s fountains in Las Vegas by tipping onto its address. The snapshots of the current feature are not yet available as the looks of the feature might have a change over. The picture below is that from NewTeeVee’s post. The feature also lets the location of YouTube videos to mapped on Google Maps.
