You may have come across a number of online documentation tools like Google Docs. DocVerse is also categorized among those tools. The San Francisco based company has raised $1.3 million to enhance their services. The amount was raised from Baseline Ventures, Michael Dearing and unknown angel investors.
The report which was first reported by Seattle Post-Intelligence, was further confirmed by VentureWire.
Co-founders Shan Sinha and Alex DeNeui experience working with Microsoft’s collaborative tool, Sharepoint. This may be the reason why Microsoft is listed as the company’s advisors. On the service Shan Sinha said:
DocVerse will help people collaborate with others on documents more easily and effectively than anything available today.
Right now when the tool is in private testing mode, its hard to say how much affective they will be. Google Docs’ free offering will certainly be challenging for them but lets see how things roll out when the tool comes out of the private testing phase.
