Google Docs now shows Print Preview

Google Docs has recently added a new feature “fixed-width page layout” which will facilitate the users with a live print preview of their document, considered as a default “print preview” layout by the Microsoft Word users.

Users can access it, by clicking the View menu and selecting the fixed-width page view option.

The basic disadvantage of this live feature is, it will show the preview in the single page by extending the  size of a page and will not apply any page breaks.

Zoho is another service that offers the same functionality and even splits your document into number of pages without extending its real size, but it does not provide its users with the editing feature.

Google Docs has marked a good step in updating a new layout feature, because it really gives tough time to users to view a live preview. However, we would really appreciate, if  they could show us a page the way it would be printed.
