Google Chrome is set to give out its much anticipated browser named Chrome and we wait till it finally makes way to be put to test and work out where and how far it can run up to compete with other browsers in the race.
The web is filled with this news and tester wait to drill it to the core and bring it flaws that could hinder its growth and take it back to the garage but what’s good about this from Google is that it lies open for the developers to add to it by letting it be ‘open source’. We got our hands at a few screenshots of the browser (courtesy blogoscoped).
The Interface’s front page appears neat and the tabs placed at the top make them far more visible:
The search bar called omnibox offers auto-completion that gives search related suggestions.
The homepage displays a total of 9 pages that are to accessed in a thumbnail format. The also has added pointers that appear every time users open a new tab.
The screenshots below displays Google Calendar (left image)with an option to let users create shortcuts in locations that include Desktop, Start Menu and Quick Launch Bar.The image to the right displays the functionality of zooming in on the browser tabs.
There is also a task manager embedded in Chrome, this lets the user know which one of the sites may be causing problems with the usage of memory.
Users also have Google Incognito mode in order to let one have more on private browsing.
Chrome lets users bookmark their favorites by hitting the star on the left site of the address bar (left image) and auto-complete feature is also available to make hitting in addresses faster (right).
The settings for the browser aren’t much different than those found in the existing ones and it lets users import bookmarks, clear history and various other options to customize your browser.
The browser gives the same simple and neat look like Google has had for the last so many years with its homepage, perhaps that is to let Googlers feel more at ease and not find something totally different when they used Chrome.

[...] Chrome, Google’s browser hasn’t really ticked off the way as many had anticipated and which is why Google is asking people to help it with its publicity. Google is asking people to create an icon for Chrome using their creativity. Each person can submit a video demonstrating the icon till 22′nd of July. Now many Google haters would call it a cheap marketing tactic, but seriously to me it sounds way better than Microsoft’s $100 million ad campaign for Bing. [...]
