The Google Calendar team hasn’t been sitting quietly, but has been working on the feedback from its active users over the past months. There have been many subtle changes to Google Calendar that make the experience much better now.
Emailing Guests
There was already an option of emailing meeting attendees, but now this option has been changed. You can now select guests based on their response status or pick-and-chose them individually with checkboxes.
Adding a friend’s calendar
Now, adding a friend’s calendar has been made easier. Auto complete has been enabled which searches your address book for your contacts as soon as you start typing.
Dragging to create new events
Creating new events is simpler now and you don’t have to go through the hassle of rearranging everything just to shift one event in between others. It’s as simple as dragging and dropping now, no matter how many events you have at one time.
Flexible reminder times
You can now set a reminder for any time between 4 weeks and 5 minutes before your event. This might not be useful to everyone, but it provides more flexibility to those who would need it.
