Google with its various services, always wanted to spread their word in different languages. This is a strategy which would certainly help people understand the services of Google better. According to the product manager of Google’s Gmail team, Ken Norton, it is one of their goals to provide the information to people in their native language.
With this goal, the team has launched its service of Google Calendar in 8 more languages. The total number of languages, now supported by Google Calendar has reached 38. Gmail is currently available in 50 languages so the gap is closing.
According to Ken:
We’ve been hard at work making Google products available in as many languages as possible.
The languages which are recently inducted, includes:
-
Latvian
-
Romanian
-
Filipino/Tagalog
-
Serbian
-
Ukrainian
-
Bulgarian
-
Hindi
-
Indonesian.
If you are to use any of your preferred language, you just have to go to the ‘Settings’ of the service and select the language of your choice. Recently Google launched its homepage in Maori, making it one of the 100 languages. By now all of Google services are available in 40 languages and still growing.

Nepali Calendar would be ideal - it is different from Hindi
