Well it’s not just Gmail getting all those new features. Today Google Labs made two major launches (not to forget that earlier they had released new Captchas); Similar Images and Google News Timeline. Similar Image  search is a simple tool that lets you find similar images by simply clicking the similar image link beneath the thumbnails and filter out those that are a much closer match to what you are looking for. It takes away the need to browse through pages or the need to continuously edit the search terms to find the right image. A much needed tool to narrow out image search, especially for those who have a lot to do with images.

The other one; Google News Timeline lets you chronologically organize results from various sources in a neat timeline that can be zoomed in and out for easy navigation. You can customize the timeline to days, months, years and even decades. The sources include scanned newspapers, magazines, sports records, etc. There are also other major updates and the Google Labs has been reloaded; the plan is to get more innovative and hand out more features that enhance user experience on the Web.
