Google has been quite busy over the past week bringing location sharing with Google Latitude and then letting others know your location when you send an email from Gmail. Today it pinned an app in Android phones My Tracks. The app enables users to keep track of the path they follow in their devices using the GPS. These can be viewed on Google Maps and updates shared via email or Twitter. Sounds very useful however the only notable problem would be the battery of the G1 that would just end long before you complete your journey.
In theory it is cool but are you really going to lug your T-Mobile G1 on the trails? I’m going to stick with my Garmin.

i will be more than willing, only if resolves the battery issue. else i would rather stick to some ancient device, good enough to make a call.
