Google Book Search, a reliable source to search for old titles is finally going independent. Google has decided to remove Amazon and the likes that acted as a bridge in the procedure. Tom Turvey, Director of strategic partnerships at Google has stated at the BookExpo that the project will be live by the years end. Google’s independent e-book store will be a bit different from that of Amazon and its Kindle empire. The major difference being that users will be able to access/read books from all internet ready devices. This would give Google’s store the initial boost it requires to rise as a Kindle competitor. The other difference is one that publishers are going to love most as they will be allowed to set their own retail prices. We aren’t aware about the details on this latest move from Google and will sure update our readers as we learn about it further.
