To track the performance of a website, different people use different kind of strategies. It all depends on how deep the user want to go in. For some, only using the Google Analytics tracking code is enough while others may not find this the best thing. Those of you who lies in the second category, Google Analytics is now available on Google Code.
You can consult Google Code to get all the information regarding the creation of a custom Analytics installation on a site.
