image thumb101 go2cut; to shorten long URLsThere is a whole bunch of sites that allowing users to turn a mile long URL into a short one, but coming up of another one never really hurts anyone. This rather provides more options in case your preferred URL shrinker goes down and go2cut is another one in the shrink race.

The site provides users to place in any URL the length of which may piss the person you forward it to, into a simply shortest possible one. This is quite like URL shortening you see using Twhirl and the likes, just place in your URL in the dialogue box and hit the shorten button. Oh and it does offer a couple of features too, that too like the countless other URL shortening sites.

The users can set a password to the link, in case the URL you have shortened is very personal or you simply don’t want others to use it. Just type in the password and your mini link becomes privatised. That isn’t something unique but as our friend points out, the site also offers scanning the URL you have provided for viruses. This sounds good as it can cut down the risks involved with the viruses spreading out to further systems.

Users can also view URLs that have been shortened by others and made public, so that you don’t have to go through the tiresome task of doing the same things again.
