With the option of chatting in Gmail, life has become really easier. You can easily add your contacts, chat with them and check out your emails at the same time. This may let you add as many contact as possible and you may end up with a huge list of chat friends. Same is the case with the labels and you can add as many labels as you want. This might not make you feel that good and maybe with a little change in placement of the chat and label boxes can make things easier. This is what has been done in Gmail Labs.
Some people may like to change the positioning of chat box, while others may like to alter the placement of the labels box. Now with the help of an option in Gmail Labs, you can now move your chat box and labels at the right side of your inbox.
To utilize the feature, you just have to go to the ‘Settings’ option in the Gmail account and select the ‘Labs’ option where you will see these options along with a number of other features such as ‘Forgotten Attachment Detector’ and ‘Mark as Read’. Just enable the features and you are done.
The feature has been developed by Google Engineer, Emily Chang. This feature is not compatible with ‘Navbar drag and drop’ Lab which lets you drag and reorganize Chat and Labels on the left side.
