Gmail updated its contact manager, after numerous feedback requests from its users, asking for more control over their contacts. Gmail has changed the way it suggests contacts to you. The changes disallowing automatic shifting of a contact; as earlier if you emailed someone five times, the address would be moved into My Contacts. That’s not going to happen anymore though.
Now, there’s a Suggested Contacts for this particular action. You will be able to move contacts you want in My Contacts yourself. Whereas all of you contacts whether in My Contacts or Suggested Contacts, will continue to show in auto-complete, while you’re composing messages.
This change also moves previously auto-added contacts back into Suggested Contacts. Though, only contacts that you edited, imported or added to a group will remain in My Contacts. This change will be provided to all in the next few days. Though if there’s anything else you’d like to share, you can follow this link.
