Gmail back Up; service Down for 30 Hours

Saad Ali Abbasi

Gmail_logo Gmail experienced a fluctuation in service, which lasted for 30 hours, in-turn affecting some Google Apps customers. This happened around 9:30 P.M. U.S. Eastern Time, though no comment was issued by Google, except for a spokesman stating that the problem had been fixed.

First signs of the problem were reported in the official Google Apps discussion forum, mid-afternoon – Wednesday. At that time Google stated that it was aware of the issue about Gmail users not being able to log-in to their accounts.

In the case of corporate – some CEOs and executives weren’t too happy with the proceedings as they were locked out of their e-mail. The flicker in the system shows that even the best have to go through times they would rather forget.
