Glam Media launches Brash, the ad network focusing men

Shoaib Hashmi

BrashA content and ad network, Glam Media, having major focus on woman, has launched a similar  network focusing on men. The new network is called Brash. Launching the network at a time when industry is going through a rough patch might prove critical for Glam. Like other startups, the company has also laid off 7% of its employees last month and the current release was rumoured.

Currently the homepage of the site reads “Coming Soon”. Earlier this year the company raised $84.6 million from German publishing company and with various other Silicon Valley companies.

Online marketing has its worth, though it might face some problems for a time being but in the longer run, it will certainly do better. Another area which is growing rapidly is the search advertising as it is specifically targeted.

Glam depends upon display advertising which is good for now but for the future, they need to specifically target users e.g. they can let advertisers target stuff such as gender, interest, etc. According to the company they are working on it.
