I am regular user of Facebook and Windows Live messenger is my heart and soul to communicate to my friends. And well today I saw this great service launched by Microsoft, that helps you seamlessly integrate you contacts on different social networking sites such as bebo, LinkedIn, Hi5, Tagged and also your Windows Live Hotmail.
This service called www.invite2messenger.net is a good middleman type service which helps you collaborate with your friends bringing all your contacts. What this also would do is that increase the consumer base for Microsoft, giving it readily much more boost and gap to lead much more in the IM world.
The app is easy and very friendly to use, and after reading the security and privacy concerns, I was satisfied that Microsoft is not trying to play dirty tricks.
We do not provide contact information to third party marketers without your permission. We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is 1) reasonably necessary to offer the service, 2) legally required or, 3) permitted by you.
It’s a good initiative and I really found it useful. Currently the app only works for Facebook, and support for other platforms is coming soon.
