West Hollywood, California based genealogy and social networking site Geni, has raised an amount of $5 million in the third round of funding. The round was participated by returning backers including Charles River Ventures and Founders Fund. The company has earlier raised $10 million in the second round. With this round of funding the total amount raised by the company has reached $16.5 million.
