Playfish, a gaming startup, has raised $1 million to complete the round of venture funding. Earlier this year, the startup raised $3 million.
The London based social games company is trying to raise funds from firms based in Silicon Valley. The company is backed by Accel Partners. The company took advantage of Accel Partners’ platform in making contacts while the games are being developed.
The company which was established in October 2007, creates video games on social networks like Facebook and publishes it. So far the company has developed three games namely “Who Has The Biggest Brain�, “World Challenge� and “Bowling Buddies�. All of these games are based on Facebook. They also contain the ability to support in-game advertising.
According to the company’s website, their games are being played around 100 million times every month and they have about 6 million players right now.
