We had earlier reported that Fujitsu had put down rumors associated to selling its Hard Disk division to Western Digital. It had rejected so only to have it sold to Toshiba as the electronics good manufacturer has bought it. The price remains undisclosed s far and reports are that the deal will be completed by June this year. As per the deal, Fujitsu would transfer the following to Toshiba:

Fujitsu Computer Products Corporation of the Philippines and Fujitsu Thailand, which are both HDD manufacturing subsidiaries;

Fujitsu’s HDD development, manufacturing and sales divisions
-
Fujitsu Laboratories’ HDD technology development department; and
-
HDD sales and marketing offices outside Japan
-
HDD design, development, quality assurance and other departments under Yamagata Fujitsu.
