FriendFeed turned a new leaf as it recently came out with a new out-look to its GUI. Although still in beta phase, FriendFeed fanatics can check it out and experience the new look here. The main changes in affect are adding of updates which really improve the service’s social experience.
The bigger changes include bettering the photos section. Now you can post photos straight from your hard drive or via URL. Apart from this, the subscriptions and user grouping section has been updated. Now you can mass subscribe (and unsubscribe) from other FriendFeed users, unlike before where you had to select each user one at a time (which also required visiting their FF page). Also, you can now group people as favorites, personal, and professional, and you can personalize many other groupings as well.
Although for some, the shifting of the user interface to the right side of the screen would be the biggest change. Whether that’s troublesome or not, things you’ve bookmarked or commented on would now be at an easier spot.
The new FriendFeed is expected to come out in a few weeks, so keep an eye out for it.
