Friendfeed has launched its new design giving users much desired control over many a features including that over controlling what one sees in their feed. Users can also organize their friend list much more effectively and get updates only from those they are interested in. Added improvements include enabling users to directly to their FriendFeed and a side bar to enhance the navigation feature.
What I found more interesting was the feature to let users view their FriendFeed as it appears to others and this can be done by simply hitting the tab that reads (name) + Friends.
But perhaps what appears to be more distinct compared to the rest of the features is the one called duplicate detection; which detects and removes duplicate stories make their way to your feed. Overall it’s a much wanted updated Friendfeeders had been waiting for and I bet it’s going to be worth the wait.
