You all know how much web services, platforms lay emphasis on importing contacts, be they big, small, old or new. Even giants like Facebook dig that and that has been one of the major factors why it has grown out and about. The latest move comes promoting the Friend Finder on the social network’s homepage.
Why so? Well Facebook wants to make sure you have each and everyone of your friends or contacts to be there on Facebook too. But doesn’t it have a lot of users already? It definitely does but that in no way would stop the social network to take a few more steps to grow further. There are numerous methods and tactics which it has adopted, from sharing data, search, social games and a very beneficial market for brands. The social network is looking for even more ways to market itself and expand its user base.
I am just a bit lost, given that Facebook very recently made sure that you didn’t get random requests or invites. But the new tool might just attract some controversy given that it might be used to generate friend and users might be enticed to send request to new users, some might like it but others would only have another reason to dislike Facebook.
Irrespective of our personal opinions, if this page is available to all, I bet the numbers would actually boost up. Now I might be exaggerating here, but it is bound to, given how the platform is known to maximize every initiative it takes, this particular move might very well be prove fruitful.
