Just when you thought that FriendFeed with support for a huge number of services, is full of noise, here comes a comments aggregator, BackType that is going to replace FriendFeed and bring a lot of noise. And by a lot, we mean, comments from a huge number of blogs being aggregated into a single stream.

Here’s how backtype works

BackType is a service that lets you find, follow and share comments from across the web. Whenever you write a comment with a link to your website, BackType attributes it to you. We give comment authors a profile featuring all the comments they’ve written on the Internet. If you don’t have a website to use when you fill out comment forms, sign up and use one of ours.

According to Michael Arrington, BackType is the newest Ycombinator startup to launch from their summer program. The authors on BackType range from Robert Scoble ( my favorite! ) to Michael Arrington, Paul Graham, Om Malik and the likes. It lets you follow other comment authors like in FriendFeed. BackType basically aggregates comments by matching them to your linked URL in your profile. So any comments you make across the Blogosphere where you leave your URL in the website field, that comment will be picked up by BackType and shown in your stream.

BackType will potentially be an alternative to FriendFeed and Twitter to search for the most happening topics on the web. And since it’ll mostly has blog authors in it, is will be the place to look for information. And just like Michael Arrington, I like this service too.
