Fluther introduces IM support for Q&A service

Fluther

Fluther, a service that connects users and help them start a live discussion, has inducted the instant message support for their question and answer service through an IM bot. Now users can message their questions to the bot which will be posted immediately and replies will be sent back as instant messages and also to the specified email address. Right now the service is specific to AOL IM users only but bot for other protocols will probably be available in the next two weeks, said Ben Finkel the founder of Fluther. Also he said:

Users without sufficient ‘lurve’ points [Fluther's karma system] will have their questions go to a pending area when asked from IM, where our moderators can approve them. We’ll keep playing with these rules and tweaking them as necessary. Since quality is paramount to us, so we’re going to be vigilant in ensuring this new feature doesn’t lower it.
