While developers may be lost wondering what app is a hit on the variety of devices it’s been created for, Flurry has managed to answer that. The firm launched its own app analytic tool that works on all major devices (iPhone, Android) and lets developers learn how the app they have created scores with users. The tool has been pretty successful for as many as 300 developers have already signed up for it since October. It’s very effective, primarily because it offers real time stats on the apps usage and that it will help developers constantly improve their apps, based on each ones success or failure.

Interesting. 300 signups, how many are live with apps? Seems a little overhyped…?

Overhyped to some extent, but then developers don’t actually switch over to startups that easy and then it was beta as well. I guess it will see a boost in usage with time.

Hi guys – you question about overhype is a fair one. The number we reported about the number of live applications reporting live data is accurate – this is accross iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Java ME, with the majority on iPhone. My name is Peter (VP Marketing for Flurry). Please feel free to check out the site and a live demo for more info – http://www.flurry.com. Thanks, Peter
