I have Firefox 3 and since upgrading from Firefox 2, I have not been able to run videos. There have been many tweaks but nothing has allowed videos to run. I am intrigued by the possibilities of the Port25 Plugin, but have been reading about Windows Media Player Download. I have not been able to find an answer to what is the best option. Some of the directions include some sections which are beyond my computer skills level which also holds me back from completing this process.
I actually did download the Windows Media Player Firefox Plug-In. (np-mswmp)and saved it but could not Run it because the option was never available so I could not install. I received message that download was complete. This is a major problem and I have put hours of reading into this subject and do not have an answer.
Also a factor, I have not allowed new download of SP for Windows because I have heard so many reports about difficulties with the download but the instructions say that Windows updates need to be done prior to any Media Player change.
I need help.
Last night I was told by a Norton tech who had taken over my computer, that I need to buy more RAM because my computer was slow! Well, heah, it wasn't opening at all but that was a different issue.
