Firefox speeds up; has competitors looking for Rocket Boosts

Sardar Mohkim Khan

FIREFOX We have reported about Firefox’s latest development at boosting its browsers speed and the potential that it offers to the Firefox users; this means users get a much faster experience when it comes to browsing etc.

Wasn’t this much needed? We have been using Firefox and we did find it could do good with some added boost to its speed, perhaps it came from the heart and the geniuses at Mozilla labs, Andrea Gal, Brendan Eich and the whole lot have punched in to bring Trace Tree and Just-in-time compiler for Firefox.

Shrep put it to test with photo-editing operations to check the improvements it brings and voices that it will take some time to actually push the speeds beyond 2-4 times the present. This plainly will improve the browsing experience for users and add more to enhance experience for the users.

What this points at is a plain warning for all competitors and we here see Firefox taking the cake away with the latest development. It won’t be surprising if Microsoft maintains the present snail’s pace of its Explorer and let Firefox bite away its user base soon enough. Microsoft use a Saturn V rocket to boost Explorer please.
