With so much hype hat has been created over the past few weeks, Firefox has finally come out with its release date and time for various time zones. So much hype and with Firefox’s dreams of breaking the Guinness world record of most downloads on the launch date, there have been times zones drawn and put up on the site by Digital Inspiration (image given below).
The Most Downloaded Software downloaded in 24 hours has no set numbers, but according to Firefox, it plans at touching 5 million downloads, and the website that had been specifically made for the pledging by enthusiasts who anxiously wait for its launch reads over 1.5 million pledges. Though lower than the number they anticipate, it might just tick into a boom once Firefox 3 is out and ready to be downloaded and run on the machines.
Wow this sounds like some election campaign for a global leader (:s), but let do our part in hyping the hype further up that has been created by the much awaited Firefox 3.

Setting the Guinness world record may be the stated goal of all this activity, but in the end that’s only a novelty. The real show is the online mass mobilization that’s taking place.
