SingleFeed, a comparison engine feeder, has raised a closed Series A funding round. The round was led by True Ventures, with NetService Ventures also participating in the round. SingleFeed helps SMB merchants to submit their products to shopping comparison and search engines like Google base, Yahoo Shopping, Shopping.com, Shopzilla, NextTag and PriceGrabber. The company is led by Brian Smith who writes at ComparisonEngines.com and has also worked at Cendant, TheStreet.com and VarsityGroup.

San Francisco based Attendio, that matches user´s interests with local events and bundles that with social networking goodies like reviews, tagging etc, has raised seed funding from Felicis Ventures and Sunbridge Partners. The size of the round is not disclosed. Competitors to Attendio include BusyTonight, Zvents, Eventful, MingleNow, ILCU, Upcoming and Socializr.

Seattle based RIPL, that is a social network much like facebook, has raised $2 million in Series A funding according to regulatory filing/PEHu. RIPL is currently in closed beta and is only open to a students from a selected universities. This is certainly a good way to go as the initial wave of users define the entire demography of the network, “like attract likes”. The company is led by CEO Bill Messing who have had executive roles at United Online, Classmates Online and MSN.

Cellfish Media, a NYC based mobile content apps firm, has raised $10 million from Solidarity Fund. The current round takes the total amount of funding raised so far to a whopping $60 million. Cellfish made transactions totalling $300 million in 2006 and has 320 employees.

Dice Holdings Inc, which runs the largest job portal targeting the Technology sector plans to file for a $100 million IPO. The company runs Dice.com for Technology and engineering jobs, Jobsinthemoney.com for accounting, finance jobs and ClearanceJobs.com for U.S. government security clearances, eFinancialCareers.com for capital markets and financial services professionals in UK and CybermediaDice.com for Tech jobs in India. The company was founded in 1990 and has headquarters in Usbandale, IA.

Zoodango, a LinkedIn competitor is set to close a strategic financial round from big profile strategic investors. CEO James Sun has disclosed the Zoodango is serving 30K page views a day and has around 3000 profiles.

Iminent, a French startup that is developing a video add-on application for instant messaging systems, has raised €3 million from Italy´s 360 Partners. The site is currently in private beta. The company is in process of developing a software(client side) that will allow users to make short videos, which could be used as a replacement for emoticons.

LegalForce, that endeavors to make the intellectual property of patent office public and searchable with links to attorney and patent profiles, is in process of raising a $2 million Series A round. Potential investors include RockYou founder Lance Tokuda, Sierra Ventures founder Jeff Drazen and IP Lawyers Robert Barr and John White.
