John Paczkowski from AllthingsD has made a very interesting post about how Apple is worth more than Google now. No, this doesn’t mean the end of the world though! According to stats, Apple’s current market cap: $159.37 billion. Google’s: $157.56 billion. Does that mean Business is booming for Apple? Or has it slowed down for Google?
How ever it may be, it has given Valleywag boasting rights about it’s prediction in November 2007 saying
“Apple knows how to design not just gadgets, but the businesses that go around them. And as a result, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple is worth more than Google within two years.”
Hmm.. I wonder if they made any predictions for when Apple will beat Microsoft in terms of market value, and it’s usage on desktops would cross 80% worldwide.
It is astonishing to see that, Google, a garage based start up, has risen to such heights. Being valued to an almost 30 year old company is no small feat. But it’s still great to see our two most favorite companies going head to head in terms of market value!
