Lori Drew, 49, a woman who posed as Josh Evans to her daughter’s former friend Megan Meier on popular social network MySpace, has been found guilty of minor offenses by the federal jury in Los Angeles. 13 year old Megan Meier was humiliated by her former friend’s mother who posed as a teenage boy, and ultimately committed suicide. The jury failed to reach a verdict on the conspiracy count. The three minor counts are regarding accessing a computer without authorization, which can lead to a maximum 3 years sentence and a fine of $300,000. The sentencing is yet to be decided. Right now it is unclear whether a new trial regarding the charges will occur or not. If found guilty, Drew could face 20 years behind the bars. All I can say is that Lori Drew must be brought to justice and she should be made an example to others so that no one would ever do such a pathetic thing again.
