Facebook is perhaps having some trouble digesting the fact it is the world’s leading social network, or maybe it has been injected with the No.1 syndrome. The social network came in with changes in its terms of service and the only thing I can say is they appear ever more dictatorial. The TOS states that all user data can be legally kept with Facebook even if a user terminates their accounts:
You may remove your User Content from the Site at any time. If you choose to remove your User Content, the license granted above will automatically expire, however you acknowledge that the Company may retain archived copies of your User Content.
Why really does it want to keep all that data? Let me guess, is it about Facebook Connect?
