image thumb16 Facebook to lose Moskovitz; ‘I will miss Facebook!’News about Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz and his colleague Justin Rosenstein calling its quits had been circling around as rumors. But Mark Zuckerberg confirmed it with his statement saying, Dustin had been a valuable asset for Facebook and he would always turn to him for advice.

There wasn’t much that could highlight the reason for the departure but a post by Rosenstein; who previously worked for Google put forward a few words in a note on Facebook. In it he has written a story about his life and the work he had been doing for long, but perhaps the most important thing were his plans with Dustin that eventually became the reason for their departure.

Their venture includes bringing forth an enterprise productivity suite that utilizes concept of both Facebook Connect and quite a lot of models from Facebook itself. So are they going to bring the entire Facebook concept to the professional life? It appears not so, as they are taking a walk away from Facebook and trying to build it upon their own platform separately. The service is set to bring Facebook’s way of social life to the work life for users.

TechCrunch had an email from Dustin in which he stated:

Our new project is not a replacement for what we build here, but instead both a complement and a compliment, and we have every intention of making it feel like a natural extension of Facebook’s product and purpose.

Well the two are around for a month or so more before they part ways with Facebook and start off upon their own idea.
