Andrew Chen has a very interesting pointer, which is that with experimental ad budgets getting slashed due to the worsening economic conditions Facebook will find it difficult to recruit agencies and advertisers to its innovative programs like “engagement ads” and hence might have to resort to old school display advertising. Which in turn will make it look and feel like the image above – pretty MySpace like, aint it.
