In a bid to settle its score with ConnectU, Facebook paid $65 million to pull the zip up the the lawsuits against Facebook. Mark Zuckerbeg, founder of Facebook had been accused of stealing profile page designs, etc and bringing them to Facebook after he left working for the startup. I guess the reason why Facebook paid the sum to ConnectU founders; Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, who had been running after Facebook accusing it of cheating the entire concept. What nonsense? I mean if ConnectU really had such brilliant ideas, why didn’t they implement it before Facebook did? I hate saying this, but the two brothers don’t really look brainy enough to transform social networking, or even mutate it. No hard feelings, it’s just my opinion.

the timeline for implementation was what did the damage. zuckerberg allegedly purchased his own domain and “resigned” shortly before the code was to be delivered to the twins. given that zuckerberg was the primary coder, connectU had to scramble for a new developer, thus setting them back several months. while they had to play catch-up, zuckerberg launched the facebook and gained traction. so, not only did zuckerberg effectively steal the code he was commissioned to write, he left the brothers naked and having to start from scratch.

Can’t believe that the brothers got such a big pay off, spoilt fuckers, how much money do they need in life to be happy. Education payed for at Havard, seems to me they didn’t study, they just decided to leech of someone with a bit of intelligence, would be very interested to know what they have done with their lives since.
