Facebook has started a new service according to which you can import your profile updates from sites like YouTube, StumbleUpon, Hulu, Pandora, Google Reader, Flickr etc. to Facebook.
A few weeks back Facebook started their service which enables you to import stories from other sites into the Mini-Feed. Tremendous increase in the number of websites has been observed which can work with this feature since the beginning of this service.
You just have to click on the ‘Import’ link which lies at the top right corner of the Mini-Feed to connect to the account of those websites. If you update anything on those websites it will automatically be updated on your facebook account. If you update a video on your YouTube account, it will automatically be updated on FaceBook and if you have a personal blog, you just have to enter the URL and a story will be published every time you write the post.

This new feature of facebook seems nice. Facebook is progressing steadily and is the only company in the top 10 chart after Google in the U.S. search market that has increased its marketshare. Their progression is visible from their performance and we hope to see more innovative features in the future.
However, this service is very much similar to the one Friendfeed is already running. They are also offering rooms where you can start any specific topic. Although Facebook has a large userbase but it is yet to be seen if it would be able to beat Friendfeed on this one. The reason is that Facebook is already working on many applications and you can’t be ‘Jack of All’. What they should do is that they should converge their focus on one area, accomplish a target and then move to next application. Jumping everywhere is not going to land them anywhere. Lets see how they compete with Friendfeed in this feature in the coming days.

I wouldn’t call it mock. By the way, do you prefer importing each feed one by one via Facebook or just importing your Friendfeed aggregation?
Well by calling it mock I mean the concept. The concept which they have applied is almost the same as Friendfeed.
