There have been various companies that have provided application developers in Facebook to keep a check on the number of users making use of each application. Such tools are important as they help developers to have a clue as to what idea is more popular. We had earlier reported of a similar step taken by Facebook that could help both users and developers have an idea about what application has traffic sticking on for a longer time.
According to Eric Eldon, Facebook plans at introducing a new tab named ‘Features’ in its Insights area for applications. The purpose of this tab is to display user actions; which range from profile views, adding/removing bookmarks and page views. This is represented by a graph that displays daily counts for the metrics and also lets you pull out stats for a particular data-range.
The feature has been introduced to help visualize growth and keep a check on the responses from a user; which eventually helps developers to create applications that give a better user experience.
Now such an insight helps keep a better watch at what is more popular and help keep a view on user behavior. The result as it turns out is that the developers would dive deeper into analysing what exactly keeps users glued and then based on these visualizations create a useful application.
